2009 Report

This year we had the most succesfull turnout to date with 94 Cyclist. A big increase in family partisipation which was wonderfull. The weather conditions were ideal and again our attention to safety details with the co-operation of Red Cross and Gardai meant that everyone returned to Confey G.A.A.Club without incident. Thanks to the regular road stewards and this year the MAG Motorcycle volunteers provided expert escorts for the riders. This year the designated Tabaloco Aids Hospice as the designated charity once again and also sharing the proceeds with local school Stepping Stones. This school caters for the special needs of childern suffering with Authism and is based in Kilcloon.The one disapointing aspect about this years event was the fundraising results,which despite increased community support was considerably down on previous years. This was understandable due to the serious resession we are experiencing. However at the end of the day the communuty were proud to raise € 3144 shared eqqualy beteen both charities
