After surviving Colon Cancer in 2002 I decided in 2004 to organise a local fun cycle as a way of fundraising for The Mater Hospital in Dublin. The money raised was designated to the newly opened Postgraduate Studies and Cancer Research facility in the hospital. The event was such a success we have made it a annual event each August.
To date we have raised in excess of € 26,000.
As you will see from the photos it's a great family event. The Moor of Meath was an old commonage between our town of Leixlip in Co. Kildare and the town of Dunboyne in County Meath. We stretch it a little to make a delightful 12 mile spin.
This years event will be on Sunday 26th August. To enter please contact me for a sponsorship card and Info.
